Allcargo Group Releases ESG Report, Pledges Carbon Neutrality by 2040

The Allcargo Group has unveiled its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report for 2022-2023, themed “Navigating the Green Horizon,” underscoring the group’s unwavering commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2040 through sustainable and renewable practices. The comprehensive report outlines the Allcargo Group’s ESG objectives, covering energy and emissions, occupational health and safety, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), community development, labor practices, human rights, cybersecurity, and corporate governance.

Shashi Kiran Shetty, the founder and chairman of Allcargo Group, emphasized the significance of integrating ESG aspects into business practices, emphasizing that true progress goes beyond profit, extending to positive impacts on people and the planet. He stated, “Our transformative journey towards sustainability spans Environment (Energy, Emissions, Biodiversity), Social (Occupational Health and Safety, Community Development, Labor Practices and Human Rights, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and Governance (Sustainable Supply Chain, Customer Satisfaction, Corporate Governance, and Cybersecurity).”

Aligning with India’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2070 and a 45% reduction in emissions intensity of GDP by 2030, the Allcargo Group’s ESG efforts play a vital role in fulfilling these broader environmental objectives.
