International Solar Alliance Launches Green Hydrogen Innovation Centre, Empowering Global Enthusiasts of Sustainable Energy

The International Solar Alliance (ISA) has officially unveiled the Green Hydrogen Innovation Centre (GHIC), a groundbreaking online platform designed to be the ultimate resource hub for all things related to green hydrogen. Developed in partnership with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and the Asian Development Bank, this innovative portal is poised to play a pivotal role in advancing global efforts towards sustainable energy solutions.

The GHIC boasts a multitude of features, serving as a one-stop knowledge repository for green hydrogen enthusiasts worldwide. It offers real-time updates on sectoral developments, country-level insights, and comprehensive access to vital information such as industry reports, policies, codes, and standards. The center’s mission is clear: to centralize knowledge, encourage informed decision-making, foster global collaboration, boost awareness and training, monitor global progress, and stimulate innovation within the green hydrogen sector.

One of the standout features of the GHIC is its ‘Country Insights’ section, which provides in-depth information on the green hydrogen missions, targets, and announcements of different nations. This section empowers stakeholders with a deep understanding of the global landscape of green hydrogen adoption. Additionally, the ‘GH Community’ offers an interactive platform for the global hydrogen community to engage in discussions and share valuable insights.

To ensure accessibility and prompt support, the GHIC features a live chatbot backed by AI and ML technologies, which can swiftly address user queries. Furthermore, it promotes skill development through certified e-learning courses, podcasts, and industry expert interviews. For budding entrepreneurs, the ‘Global Startup Program’ offers opportunities to connect with financiers and gain support for their green hydrogen initiatives.

GHIC also provides a wealth of data on green hydrogen projects, case studies, reports, and research publications, enabling users to stay updated with the latest advancements. Users can also access country-specific policies, regulations, standards, and codes to navigate the complex landscape of green hydrogen development. The portal even assists developers in identifying potential partners, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for electrolyzers, fuel cells, storage providers, and EPC/system integrators.

In summary, the Green Hydrogen Innovation Centre, developed by ISA, is set to be a game-changer in the transition to sustainable energy sources. As an international partner to the G20 Presidency of the Republic of India, ISA’s GHIC is poised to make significant contributions to global energy transition initiatives in 2023 and beyond.
